ORIENTATION

There are two methods of being promoted from Recruit to Private.

Method 1:

If you join us on our events and missions, you might just prove yourself and be promoted to Private naturally.

You can still request orientation on individual topics (such as map reading or first aid).

Method 2:

Orientation is an introductory session that usually takes 1-2 hours depending on previous experience.

For Arma 3 veterans, this training can be taken as a familiarisation to how we operate. Less experienced or new recruits will be taken through the course in more detail to ensure you know how to communicate, navigate, and fight effectively.

It's not a full training course, but will teach you basic controls, skills, and communication to allow you work and fight effectively.

Orientation Contents:

  • Rank and structure

  • Inventory management

  • Use of personal radio

  • Map and compass

  • Battlefield casualty drills and first aid

  • Rifle and pistol range

  • Grenade range

  • Anti-tank range

  • Obstacle course

  • IED awareness

For some of us, getting stuck in and kicking down doors is what we enjoy. Others may prefer to engage the enemy indirectly at long range, occupy heavily armoured vehicles, or take to the skies.

Whatever your preference, as soon as you have completed Orientation or proven yourself, you can progress and open up additional roles and specialisations - see Phase 1 Combat Training for more information.
