TRAINING

Training is split into 3 categories as listed below. The initial Phase 1 Alpha training course is compulsory for all new joiners, but from there the amount of training you do is optional. Remember however that if you only put the minimum amount of effort in, you will only receive the minimum opportunities in return.

PHASE 1 ALPHA

The initial training session will take you through the basics of Arma 3 and usually takes between 1-3 hours depending on previous experience. If you are an inexperienced player, this training course will give you the tools and knowledge required to be competent on the battlefield.

Everybody has to complete this course, including veterans, although the more you already know the quicker the course will be completed.

Upon completion of Phase 1 Alpha you can join us on our live operations.

Contents of this training course includes:

  • Inventory management.

  • Use of personal radio.

  • Map and compass.

  • Battlefield casualty drills and first aid.

  • Rifle and pistol range.

  • Grenade range.

  • Anti-tank range.

  • Obstacle course.

  • IED awareness.

PHASE 1 BRAVO

A more in-depth version of the initial training, the Phase 1 Bravo course usually takes 2-4 days depending on availability and activity.

Upon completion of Phase 1 Alpha you will be considered a fully trained soldier, and from here you can look to moving into a specialised role.

Contents of this training course includes:

  • Rank and structure within The Black Order and Arma 3.

  • Identifying the correct weapons, ammunition, and equipment necessary to complete your objectives.

  • Operating a personal radio within your team and a long range radio to communicate with other teams.

  • Reading the terrain from the map to identify possible vantage points, dead ground, points of interest, etc.

  • Battlefield casualty drills expanded; triage, communicating a casevac and casualty extraction.

  • Live firing up to 600 meters.

  • Patrolling, harbour areas, sentry duty.

  • Assaulting an enemy position.

  • FIBUA (Fighting In Built Up Areas).

  • Regroup and Reorg.

PHASE 2 TRAINING

Your Phase 2 training will vary in duration and intensity depending on the corps you want to join and the role you want to persue.

It is worth noting that you can change corps anytime, but you will need to conduct the relevant training for the new role. In practice this means you could potentially have multiple training qualifications.

An overview of each corps is as follows:

AIR FORCE

Pilot fixed wing aircraft such as air superiority fighters and close air support.

ARMY AIR CORPS

Pilot rotary aircraft such as helicopers for transportation of troops and materials or combat support roles.

ARMOURED CORPS

Crew main battle tanks, armoured fighting vehicles, and mobile weapon-mountated installation kit (MWMIK).

ARTILLERY CORPS

Responsible for indirect fire support and also forward observation and reconnaissance.

MEDICAL CORPS

Keeping people alive by any means necessary. Provide advanced first aid to casualties on the battlefield.

ENGINEER CORPS

Maintain and repair vehicles and assets while also providing demolitions, laying minefields, and constructing defences.

INFANTRY BATALLION

The backbone of any military. Operate on foot while adopting a multitude of roles including machine gunners, snipers, and anti-tank specialists.
