Each alliance member is classified one of five Alliance roles: Students, Traders, Fighters, Rankers, and Freelancers. These roles are interchangeable and are rotated to maximize individual and alliance benefit and growth.

Students

 

Students are probationary members working through the Federal Academy curriculum and will be promoted to full alliance members following completion of all graduation requirements.

Traders

 

Traders are our members currently trading in Alliance economies in a dedicated and necessary role.

​Fighters

 

Fighters are members in combat-ready ships actively skilling, hunting pirates, ambushing, collecting ribbons, etc. When needed, they are called to participate in ambushes and combat operations if their skills are sufficient for that occasion.

Rankers

 

Rankers are members pursuing Faction and/or Competency promotion through missions. These members may be called up on to assist with urgent and essential alliance needs: kill rankers may become temporary fighters while package rankers (likely piloting trade-class ships) may support trade or transport emergencies.

 

Freelancers

 

Freelancers are members who wish not to belong to any of the defined roles. These pilots do not trade in Alliance economies, are not pursuing promotion, and do not participate in combat actions.
